Experienced sector leader succeeds Vistry’s Stephen Teagle in role at membership body
Jamie Ratcliff has been appointed as the new chair of membership body the Housing Forum.

Ratcliff, an experienced leader in the housing sector, succeeds Stephen Teagle, chief executive of partnerships and regeneration at Vistry Group, who is standing down at the end of his term.
Ratcliff, who co-founded strategic advisory consultancy Place Base last year, has held numerous senior positions in the social housing sector including at Sovereign Network Group, the Greater London Authority and the Homes and Communities Agency (a forerunner body to Homes England).
His non-executive work includes chairing Watford-based Clarendon Living and being on the board of Tower Hamlets Community Housing. He had been the deputy chair of the Housing Forum since 2019.
In a social media post this week Ratcliff said: “I’m looking forward to building upon the fantastic foundation I inherit as chair and working with current and new partners from across the housing supply chain.”
Teagle told Housing Today: “I’m enormously proud to have had the opportunity to serve as chair of the board.
“The Housing Forum remains the only organisation with its membership drawn from across all parts of the housing sector and its vision calling for a quality home for all and drive for increased housing supply has been heard by successive governments.”
The Housing Forum has also had a new chief executive in recent months. Alex Notay succeeded long-time boss Shelagh Grant in January. Notay set out her vision for the body, along with her thoughts on how the sector can unlock regeneration at scale, in an exclusive interview with Housing Today earlier this year.
