Work expected to start this summer
Housebuilder Honey has been given approval to build 275 homes in Derbyshire.
Chesterfield Borough Council gave the Sheffield-headquartered builder the green light for development on a 41-acre site in the village of Duckmanton.
The scheme, which is called ‘Pearl’ and located on Tom Lane, is valued at £795m and will comprise a mix of two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes including terraces, semi-detached and detached properties.
Prices will begin at £229,995 for a two-bedroom semi-detached house.
Work is expected to start this summer with the first homes expected to be released for sale in the autumn.
Honey chief executive officer, Mark Mitchell, commented: “Our Pearl development will deliver design-led homes that are perfect for modern-day living for buyers looking to move in or to Duckmanton.
“We believe our new homes offer more style, substance and sustainability for their price, and the range of properties at the development makes it suitable for first time buyers, growing families and downsizers.
Honey was established by Mark Mitchell, after the 2021 takeover of Avant Homes, where he had previously been chief executive.
Founded in October 2022, Mitchell’s new business has taken a large number of staff from his previous employer and has attracted investment from private equity firm Alchemy Partners and its Alchemy Special Opportunities Fund IV which has £937m of fully committed capital.
Earlier this year, it announced the launch of a new partnerships business.
