It will build on ongoing collaborations between the pair on projects such as York Central, which has the potential for almost 2,500 new homes.

The combined authority and the government’s housing and regeneration agency will develop a shared business plan focused on a range of developments including Maltkiln and Elvington Garden Village.

This is the ninth strategic place partnership that Homes England has established with Mayoral Strategic Authorities across England.
