Habiko, the affordable homes delivery partnership between Homes England, Pension Insurance Corporation and Muse, has proposed two six-storey blocks providing one and two-bedroom flats arranged around a landscaped courtyard.

Designed by AHR Architects, the affordable rent apartments at Academy Way will be low-energy and low-carbon and sit within a car-free neighbourhood.

Habiko was established in late 2024 and focuses on delivering low-carbon, low-energy homes for affordable rent.

The application marks the joint venture’s first scheme to be submitted for approval. It is targeting 3,000 affordable and sustainable homes across England over the next 12 years.

Consultant Stantec advised on the preparation of Habiko’s application.
