Drew Smith has signed partnership deals with Arun district council, Eastleigh borough council and Winchester city council

A Galliford Try subsidiary has signed housebuilding joint venture deals with three councils in the south of England worth in excess of £110m.

Drew Smith, which is owned by the contracting group, has signed new partnership deals with Arun district council, Eastleigh borough council and Winchester city council.

The three ventures are to deliver nearly 450 homes across Hampshire and west Sussex, with more than 200 of these being affordable.

Combined the Arun and Winchester deals are worth around £30m, while the Eastleigh tie-up is worth more than £81m.

Drew Smith has already started work on site at The Valley, a new 77-home affordable rented and shared ownership development in the Stanmore area of Winchester, while another scheme known as Hookpit Farm received planning for 35 homes in Winchester.

The builder also exchanged contracts earlier in the summer to deliver 27 affordable homes on Arun district council’s Summer Field Development in Pagham, Bognor Regis.

And work has started on site at Pembers Hill Park near Eastleigh, where Drew Smith is delivering 244 homes in joint venture with Eastleigh borough council.

Of these, 97 affordable homes will be delivered through local housing partner, Radian.
