Former RSH boss appointed as non-executive member of 125,000-home landlord
Fiona MacGregor, former chief executive of the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH), has been appointed to Sanctuary’s group board.
MacGregor led the RSH from October 2018 to April this year and has previously held senior roles at the Homes and Communities Agency (now Homes England and RSH), housing association L&Q and the Housing Corporation, a non-departmental public body that dissolved in 2009.
She has also been the RSH’s nominee director to the board of The Housing Finance Corporation since July 2023.
Sanctuary, which manages 125,000 homes across England and Scotland, has also appointed Prem Gabbi to its board.
He began his career as a finance professional at ‘big four’ accounting firm EY, formerly Ernst & Young, before spending almost 30 years in the energy sector with National Grid. This includes nine years working for National Grid Property, initially as a finance director before becoming managing director in 2021.
He is also currently chair of the audit and risk committee at North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust and Victoria Academies Trust.
He was previously a board director on a joint venture between National Grid Property and Berkeley Group.
MacGregor and Gabbi have replaced former group board members Kevin Lavery, who stepped down after completing his term of office, and Andrew Manning-Cox, who has departed after serving eight years on the board, including seven years as group chair.
Ros Kerslake has taken up the reins from Manning-Cox. She is currently a non-executive director at the National Housing Bank and Greater Cambridge Development Corporation, board chair at the University of the Built Environment and The Architectural Heritage Fund and a Homes England board member.
