How Related Argent’s Brent Cross scheme should look

Developer Related Argent is to set up an in-house build-to-rent team that will manage a portfolio of 3,000 homes that are in the construction pipeline.

The firm will recruit 50 people to the team to manage its homes. It’s first 182 BTR homes will be available this summer at a development called Author, King’s Cross, being constructed with joint venture partner, The Olayan Group.

Related Argent, which changed its name from Argent Related last year, is also constructing homes on sites in Brent Cross Town. Last May the developer said it will build 277 market sale homes on a £7bn Brent Cross regen scheme by next year.

Tom Goodall, Related Argent partner and head of residential, said: “The strong growth of our residential portfolio continues. We are confident that our focus on creating the best places to live, work and visit will translate to high rental and sales demand for these new homes.”

Michael Herrington, director of build-to-rent operations at Related Argent, said: “Across our BTR portfolio our focus will be on delivering high-quality homes with excellent lifestyle amenities and exceptional service delivered by our dedicated in-house team.”

Related Argent’s total residential portfolio includes 8,000 sale and rental homes. The BTR team will be in charge of providing a service to residents, building maintenance and leasing across its developments.
