Floydd has previously held CFO positions at Rank Group PLC and Experian Group PLC, UK and Ireland Region, and is currently chief financial officer at Watches of Switzerland Group.

Floydd will succeed Duncan Cooper, who announced his departure to merchant Travis Perkins in July. Floydd will take over as Crest’s finance director on 13 November 2023, following a handover period that began in July.

Cooper has been in post since June 2019 when Robert Allen stepped down as finance director after 18 months in the job.

Prior to joining Crest, Cooper had been the group finance director at Sainsbury’s.

Iain Ferguson, chairman, said: “I am delighted that Bill is joining Crest Nicholson as group finance director. Bill has extensive experience as a chief financial officer within the public listed company environment. We very much look forward to working with him.”

Bill Floydd said he was looking forward to joining Crest Nicholson and “working with the Board and wider team.”
