Clarion has appointed The Hill Group to deliver 145 new homes for social rent in Tower Hamlets.

The 125,000-home provider’s Clare House redevelopment is scheduled to begin in April 2027, after the completion of demolition works, with completion anticipated in 2029.

Improvements to a play space in Jasmine Park began in May 2026.

The development is located within Clarion’s Monteith Estate and is less than a mile from Bow Road Station.

Drawn up by HTA Design, the scheme will see the existing 22-storey Clare House demolished and replaced with a new 23-storey building, adjoined by four and five-storey mansion blocks.

A little more than half of the planned homes comprise three- and four-bedroom family-sized units.

“Our ongoing partnership with Hill gives us confidence in delivery, building on a track record of working together to bring forward high-quality developments,” said Richard Cook, chief development officer at Clarion Housing Group

“Despite the challenges facing the sector, we remain focused on maintaining momentum and working with trusted partners to deliver the homes that are most needed.”

Cain Peters, regional managing director from The Hill Group, added that its work with Clarion on the project “reflects our shared commitment to tackling London’s housing shortage and providing genuinely affordable homes for those who need them most.”
