The Clarion chief executive will become chair of the group in two years, after McDermott’s term ends
Clare Miller, chief executive at Clarion Housing, has been confirmed as vice chair of the G15 group.
Earlier this week, Ian McDermott, chief executive at Peabody, became the new chair of the body, which consists of London’s largest housing associations.
He will be supported by Miller for the two years of his term, after which Miller will become the G15 chair and a new vice chair appointed.
McDermott succeeds Fiona Fletcher-Smith, chief executive at L&Q, who has chaired the group since June 2023.
Responsibility for chairing the G15 rotates between members every two years. McDermott will chair the group until 1 June 2027.

The G15 is a membership network and the ”collective voice” of 11 of London’s largest not-for-profit housing associations.
Membership currently consists of Peabody, Clarion, L&Q, A2Dominion, Riverside, Southern Housing, MTVH, The Guinness Partnership, Hyde, Notting Hill Genesis, and Sovereign Network Group.
Yesterday, McDermott re-itereated the G15 and Housing Today’s calls for social housing to be classed as infrastructure as he took his seat as chair.
