Alan Brunt has led Bron Afon for eight years

The chief executive of Bron Afon Community Housing has announced his plan to retire at the end of January 2026.

Since 2017, Alan Brunt (pictured) has led the organisation, which manages more than 8,000 homes in Torfaen, a county borough in the south-east of Wales.

“During the last eight years, it’s been wonderful to work with communities and colleagues on a wide range of projects and see how far we have come together,” said Brunt.

“I have enjoyed working in Torfaen with so many great partners, it’s been a privilege to meet and work with so many dedicated people.”

Board chair Craig Nowell said Brunt had been “unwavering in his commitment for Bron Afon” and that he would leave with the organisation’s “sincere appreciation and gratitude for all he has achieved”.

He said the recruitment process would begin “shortly” and that Gatenby Sanderson had been appointed to handle it.
