Current director Claire Townson will lead the North Yorkshire landlord from February 2026
Broadacres Housing association has promoted Claire Townson to the role of chief executive.

After two years as director of people, digital and communications, Townson will lead the North Yorkshire landlord from 1 February 2026.
She has previously served as the corporate services director for the Joseph Rowntree Foundation and Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust and in a range of senior HR roles.
Townson will take over from interim chief executive Lee Sugden, who was appointed to the role in August 2025, following the departure of Gail Teasdale.
Broadacres manages more than 6,800 homes across locations, including Darlington, Harrogate, East Riding of Yorkshire, York and Scarborough.
