Both housing ministers fired as new PM rewards Brexiters

Nearly all the ministers and secretaries of state who were working with the construction sector until yesterday have been booted from government as part of new prime minister Boris Johnson’s sweeping Cabinet changes.

As part of the changes housing secretary James Brokenshire has been replaced by Robert Jenrick, while housing minister Kit Malthouse has been succeeded by Esther McVey - who is the 10th person to hold this position in as many years.
