Bernicia Housing Association has launched a search for a contractor to build 60 homes, the majority of which will be for affordable rent, in Cramlington, Northumberland.

The group said a tender process was underway and it had applied for planning permission from Northumberland county council for the £9m scheme, with building work anticipated to start in October this year, dependent on planning being granted.

Completion is expected in the spring of 2021.
