South east England housing association Housing Solutions has appointed Nat Sloane as its new chair of the board.

Nat Sloane, new board chair at Housing Solutions

Sloane previously chaired the British Business Bank, an SME development bank wholly owned by the government’s Department for Business and Trade, as well as women’s charity Pause – Creating Space for Change and investment firm Social and Sustainable Capital.

The new chair of the Maidenhead-based landlord was also a founding trustee of the Education Endowment Foundation, which works towards improving teaching approaches. He also co-founded philanthropic organisation Impetus.

Sloane has previously served as England chair for the National Lottery Community Fund, where he oversaw the allocation of around £600m of funding each year.

He has succeeded Liz Padmore, who retired at the start of the year.

Housing Solutions owns and manages more than 8,000 homes across the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, Wokingham, Bracknell, Bucks, Slough, Reading, Milton Keynes and South Oxfordshire.
