BPHA chief executive and former HCA deputy will head the board at the Islington-based landlord 

Barnsbury Housing Association has appointed Richard Hill as its new chair of the board.

Hill is currently the chief executive at Bedford-based housing association bpha and board chair for drugs and alcohol rehabilitation charity Phoenix Futures.

He has previously served as chief executive of One Housing, which merged with Riverside in 2023, and Spectrum Housing Group, which provides accommodation to vulnerable individuals.

Hill was also deputy chief executive at the Homes and Communities Agency before it was replaced by Homes England.

Barnsbury Housing Association was set up in 1967 and owns 300 homes in the Barnsbury ward of Islington, North London.

Hill is taking over from former board chair Sean McLaughlin, who has held the position since 2019.
