Allison Homes is consulting with the public on detailed plans for Longmoor Village

The plans include 30% affordable housing, new public open spaces and walking routes, and enhanced travel connections in Ashton Vale on a site that was first identified as a proposed location for a new Bristol City FC stadium in 2009.

The redevelopment of the Longmoor plot will help fund the wider proposals for the new 5,000-seater Ashton Gate Sports and Convention Centre adjacent to the Ashton Gate Stadium - home of Bristol City Football and Bristol Bears.

All new homes at the Longmoor Village scheme will have features such as electric vehicle charging points and low-carbon heating.

Glyn Mabey, managing director of Allison Homes South West, said: “Longmoor represents a once-in-a-generation opportunity to deliver new homes, green spaces and community benefits for South Bristol.

“We want to work closely with local residents to shape these plans and ensure Longmoor becomes a neighbourhood the whole community can be proud of.”

The housebuilder acquired the 26-acre plot earlier this year with outline planning permission for 510 homes granted by the council in 2023.

Allison Homes is now consulting with the public on the development’s detailed design and layout before submitting a reserved matters application in the coming months.
