Housing Today is right to celebrate the return of substantial public investment in social housing. But it’s not just the big numbers that matter – either of pounds or homes, it’s the innovation, vision and collaboration that are required to turn one into the other.
In the flurry of policy announcements from government recently – from the spending review last week to the infrastructure strategy this week, we’ve seen evidence that, at last, the sector is getting what we really need: “innovative private finance models” and an emphasis on place-based business casing.
