National Federation of ALMOs appoints new chair

Former Cheltenham Borough Council chief executive Paul Stephenson

The National Federation of Arms Length Management Organisations (ALMOs) has appointed Paul Stephenson as its new chair.

Stephenson, who until last year was chief executive of Cheltenham Borough Council’s former ALMO, was introduced as chair at the body’s annual conference in Birmingham last week.

Stephenson served as chief executive of Cheltenham Borough Homes for eight years, spending 15 in total at the ALMO before retiring last year. Prior to this he spent around 20 years working for housing associations.
