Sector welcomes changes including expanded list of exemptions from licensing scheme

The government has announced changes to its proposed scheme to license and regulate supported housing providers in a bid to minimise burdens for providers and councils while and ensuring simplicity.

Under the government’s Supported Housing Act a new licensing scheme will be introduced along with new national supported housing standards in a bid to tackle ‘rough providers” and drive up quality.
