The Exchange buildings are among thousands found to have fire safety defects in the wake of the Grenfell Tower fire

London residents have won £550,000 in compensation from a housing association and contractor in the settlement of a High Court cladding case.

The Exchange in Bermondsey was built by Notting Hill Genesis (NHG) and contractor United Living. It comprises five multi-storey residential and mixed-use buildings, and was completed in 2014.

The building was one of thousands of developments found to have building safety issues related to cladding in the wake of the Grenfell Tower tragedy in 2017. Widespread fire-safety defects were discovered, including ACM cladding, combustible insulation, and inadequate cavity barriers.
