Ian Peters to take over as chair in the new year

Legal & General Affordable Homes (LGAH) has announced the appointment of a former British Gas chief executive as its new chair.

The for-profit social housing provider, which has a pipeline of more than 6,500 homes, said Ian Peters will take over In January following lawyer Ian Graham standing down at the end of his term.

Peters, who also chairs the UK Health Security Agency, oversaw the roll-out of a smart meter network while chief executive of British Gas.
