Sadiq Khan said without quicker action residents’ lives were being put at risk and they felt unsafe in their homes.  

The London mayor said today he was “ extremely concerned” the government had not fully complied with any of the recommendations so far made by the Grenfell Tower inquiry. 

Sadiq Khan urged the government and housebuilders to “act now” on calls from the first phase of the inquiry into the fatal fire, in which 72 people died.
