Conservative MP Katie Lam has been appointed shadow housing secretary following a major reshuffle of party leader Kemi Badenoch’s front bench.

Lam was elected as MP for Weald of Kent in the 2024 general election and is considered a rising star in the Conservative party, known for her right-wing views on immigration.
