Design and Construction Quality Manager

Newlon Housing Trust is a successful charitable housing association and one of the major providers of new affordable housing in north and east London. And right now, we’re looking for a Design and Construction Quality Manager. 

You will take a leading role in the review of designs and technical information, and the management and implementation of construction quality in new-build and regeneration housing developments in North and East London, including high-density, multi-storey projects.

As part of the Development team, you will have the opportunity to influence decision making at all stages, from setting technical requirements through planning, detailed design and construction to completion, handover and the resolution of defects.

You will have significant technical expertise in the construction industry, some of which will have been gained within the housing sector. You will also be fully familiar with current building practices, construction contracts and regulations and have an understanding of the emerging requirements in respect of fire and structural safety of residential buildings. An understanding of the constraints and pressures that accompany housing development, particularly at handover and defects stage, is also essential.
