Wolverhampton Homes’ director of corporate services has a blueprint to boost mental wellbeing among social housing workers. Speaking to Alex Funk, she discusses how to tackle workforce burnout
Picture resilience in housing. What does it look like?
Perhaps it is frontline workers supporting vulnerable residents, or tenants overcoming personal challenges when trying to secure a safe and suitable home. For Julie Haydon, the Chartered Institute of Housing’s new president, resilience looks like all of the above, plus a “big white beard”.
