Coronavirus: How are housebuilders responding?

Updated 27.03.20: Firms responsible for building over 85,000 new homes last year are to shut sites

The UK’s three biggest housebuilders by volume – Persimmon, Barratt and Taylor Wimpey – have now announced plans to suspend work at their sites amid fears about the on-site spread of coronavirus.

They have been followed by a number of smaller housebuilders and developers such as Lendlease, which has also announced that it will suspend work on its UK sites for an initial period of 48 hours.
