Walters outlines his big vision for the Regulator of Social Housing in his first press interview as chief executive

It’s a warm Friday afternoon and Jonathan Walters is reflecting on his first few weeks as chief executive of the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH), after seven years as deputy.

Walters, who has worked for the English regulator in its various guises since the mid-2000s, is already finding his new position a stark contrast to his previous role.

“It’s very different being the actual chief executive carrying all that responsibility, it’s definitely something really serious, but it’s very enjoyable,” he smiles.
