‘If you don’t collaborate with each other on social value there’s other fish in the sea’: L&Q manager’s message to contractors

L&Q is requiring social value delivery in its contracts and will push to ensure contractors collaborate to achieve this where necessary, a manager has said.

Morris Williams, social housing procurement manager, yesterday outlined the 105,000-home landlord’s approach to ensuring social value in its contracts.

Williams, speaking at the Chartered Institute of Housing’s Housing Brighton, suggested the landlord will take a hardline approach to contractors who say they will collaborate with each other to achieve social value but then refuse to do.
