Large landlord has three tiers of social value options for contractors including a 1% levy on contract value
L&Q is requiring social value delivery in its contracts and will push to ensure contractors collaborate to achieve this where necessary, a manager has said.
Morris Williams, social housing procurement manager, yesterday outlined the 105,000-home landlord’s approach to ensuring social value in its contracts.
Williams, speaking at the Chartered Institute of Housing’s Housing Brighton event, suggested the landlord will take a hardline approach to contractors who say they will collaborate with each other to achieve social value but then refuse to do.
