House price inflation accelerates in November, but London remains weak

House prices rose fastest in the North East, according to the ONS, while prices fell in London in the year to November.

House price inflation accelerated in November, according to official figures, with strength in the north of England helping to offset London’s continued weakness. 

In the 12 months to November, the average house price increased 2.5 per cent to £271,000, new figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) show.
