Proposals were voted down by Lords last month

The government’s building safety minister has slammed the Lords’ recent vote to block reform of laws protecting waterways from pollution.

Lee Rowley, who previously held the housing brief within the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC), described the move as “one of the more outrageous decisions I have seen from our political class”.
