Being green is sometimes at odds with maximising returns and this must change, writes Lesley Chen Davison

The real estate sector has made huge strides in sustainability in recent years, and yet, buildings remain responsible for 39% of global energy-related carbon emissions according to the World Green Building Council. Needless to say, we have a long way to go in reducing our carbon footprint.

 A number of developers are starting to build in a carbon-friendly way, which is great.
