Christmas came early for housing associations this year with a bumper package of capacity-building measures in June’s spending review. The announcement of a decade-long Social and Affordable Homes Programme, long-term rent settlement and expansion of building safety funding were all on the sector’s wish list. So what might 2026 deliver? And what might that mean for housing associations’ development output?
