The Spending Review included a number of welcome commitments on housing. It’s clear that the government grasps the scale of the housing crisis and understands the value of safe, affordable housing – both in terms of social impact, and as an investment that pays for itself economically. With an ambitious target of 1.5m new homes in this Parliament, including hundreds of thousands of social and affordable homes, we stand ready to help deliver on this mission.
