We can’t fix social cohesion without fixing housing

Concerns about social cohesion in the UK are growing louder. Research shows that more than half of people feel disconnected from society, and in places where communities are under pressure trust and belonging are at their weakest. Alongside this, the housing crisis continues to intensify: more than 131,000 households are in temporary accommodation, private rents are increasing, and planning approvals are at historic lows.
