Achieving genuine economic renewal will require innovation in how homes are delivered locally, argues Bjorn Howard

The government has made clear that economic growth is its defining mission – and following the chancellor’s recent Mais Lecture, we’re seeing a particular focus on the importance of strengthening regional economies to drive national prosperity.

This ambition is welcome – and if it is to succeed, then housing has a critical role to play. The government has already shown it understands this connection, with commitments to planning reform and affordable housing investment.
