Solving the housing crisis means building the right type as well as the right number of homes

The debate about housing supply is often reduced to one about numbers, the focus squarely on how many homes are being built. Delivering enough homes is obviously a critical part of the equation if we’re to tackle the housing crisis - but so too is making sure the right type of homes are being built.
