Government cannot avoid funding cladding repairs

The idea of giving leaseholders loans to meet the costs is deeply flawed, says Igloo’s Chris Brown

I was pleased to see ‘Father of the House’ Peter Bottomley MP, wade into the cladding row in the Daily Mail last week.

He made three points – the leaseholders are innocent, government must fund the works (and the waking watch) now, and the costs should be apportioned later between those responsible.
