The Role

As a Housing Move-On Project Officer, you will support individuals in finding a new home through choice-based lettings or accredited landlords.

Assisting individuals with the arrangements to move to their new home, you will deliver individual, positive outcome-focused support, ensuring they can successfully claim their home loss and disturbance payments.

You will also provide practical support and information to clients, from assisting them in placing bids through choice-based lettings and liaising with potential landlords to accompanying them on viewings and helping to complete tenancy agreements and welfare benefit claims.

Additionally, you will:

  • Undertake assessments of customers
  • Assist customers with day-to-day tenancy issues
  • Provide updates to stakeholders regarding the status of each resident and property
  • Maintain an accurate and timely record of all activities

About You

To be considered as a Housing Move-On Project Officer, you will need:

  • Experience working within a similar or related field and/or environment
  • Experience of partnership and multi-agency working
  • Experience working positively with people in crisis and/or displaying challenging behaviours
  • Experience advising and assisting people with managing their tenancies
  • Knowledge of current legislation regulations and standards relating to Housing Management Services
  • A clear understanding of social housing and welfare benefit issues
  • A full, valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle
